Join our Community of Teams and Compete in the RoboRumble Rivals Tournament!

We will place you on one of our 9 community teams for the entire RoboRumble Rivals Season.

Teams are up to 3 students maximum and they’ll get everything they need to build and test a competitive robot. All teams are pre-registered to all Sarnia qualifiers. *Championship registration cost extra for teams who qualify.

FAQ

How do I know if my child is ready to join the Dojo?

As long as your child has built LEGO and has beginner reading skills, they are ready for the Dojo.

How are Dojo teams assembled?

Teams are formed with up to three randomly selected participants, unless you request to be on a team with specific individuals. Requests can be made upon registration.

How do the Qualifiers Work?

Your child’s team must win or place in the top 3 teams at a qualifier to progress to the championship. If your child has already secured a spot in the championships, they can still participate in another qualifier for practice. The Qualifiers are 1-day events.

How does the Regional Championship work?

The championship is an intensive 1-day tournament event against the top 3 teams from each qualifying tournament.

What is the Competitive Season?

The competition runs annually from January to June. See the calendar for details.

Where is it held?

Sessions will be held at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre in Sarnia, ON. 180 College Ave N, Sarnia ON N7T 7X2 

Are devices provided?

Yes.

Are there any registration subsidies?

We are accepting County of Lambton YRASP funding!

If you don’t qualify for YRASP, you may qualify for subsidies under the Suncor STEM Access Fund.

Can I get a refund?

No. All sales are final.

What happens if my child misses a paid session?

No refunds will be provided for missed sessions.

Is there a tuck shop?

Yes, there is always a tuck shop. A couple of dollars a night would be enough for your child to buy some treats.
