NextVoice Sarnia is a youth‑led newsroom for teens and young adults in Sarnia‑Lambton.
No experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and the drive to share what matters.

How it Works

  1. Members work remotely and meet in-person for weekly meetings every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre.
  2. Members pitch, chase, and produce compelling stories through articles, engaging photo essays, insightful podcasts, dynamic videos, and innovative social media.
  3. Stories are then submitted to The Sarnia Journal for thorough editorial review and the possibility of publication.

Entrance Requirements

  • Must be at least in high school. The club is for individuals aged 14 and up, focusing on mature, committed, and driven members eager to grow and contribute. Young adults are welcome to join and share their perspectives.
  • Must have access to both a smartphone and a computer.
  • Must pass an entrance interview.
